Phase 1

Decision and metric audit

We work with leadership and the people responsible for commercial, billing, collections, and accounting figures. We identify the blocked decision, compare how each measure is defined, and determine why the available versions differ.

  • The decision and measures that require clarification
  • Written definitions and an owner for each measure
  • Differences between sources quantified as far as the data allows
  • Findings report whether or not you continue
Phase 2

Reconciliation and decision reporting

We establish the rules, controls, and reporting process that keep decision-critical figures consistent, traceable, and usable.

  • A repeatable process using reports, controlled exports, databases, or APIs as appropriate
  • Reconciliation rules documented and tested
  • Figures validated against accounting before publication
  • Reporting designed for each decision-making audience

What reliable information makes possible

Once the underlying information is reconciled, Novex can help answer important commercial and operational questions.

  • Sales conversion — which quotes or opportunities ultimately generate revenue
  • Customer behavior — which customers are active, growing, declining, or at risk
  • Revenue leakage — where expected revenue is lost between quotation, delivery, invoicing, and collection
  • Operational cycle time — how long it takes to move from quote to purchase order and from order to cash, helping identify delays and bottlenecks

Scope and investment depend on the number of sources, data volume, and available history. We define that on the first call, with no obligation.

Frequently asked questions

Is Novex a software platform?

No. Novex is a consulting practice. We assess the decision, definitions, and available information, then implement the appropriate reconciliation and reporting process.

Must we replace our CRM or accounting system?

No. Novex is not tied to one vendor. We assess the systems the organization already uses—including accounting platforms, CRM systems, operational applications, databases, and spreadsheets—and determine the appropriate way to work with the available information.

Is an API required?

No. APIs may support automation, but an engagement can begin with controlled exports, existing reports, spreadsheets, or database access.

Does Novex require a particular cloud provider?

No. Novex can work with the client’s approved cloud platform, existing environment, or local infrastructure. The appropriate technology is recommended only after considering security, data volume, operational needs, and the systems already in use.

Can we continue using Excel?

Yes. If Excel can provide reliable and maintainable information, Novex can improve the existing process. When data volume, update frequency, collaboration, or visibility exceeds what Excel can manage effectively, we may recommend Power BI or another appropriate solution.

Is this a subscription?

The initial audit and implementation are scoped projects. Ongoing monitoring and analytical support can be contracted separately when useful.
